Today there are many flooring possibilities available to suit all budgets. Our focus is to supply our clients
with a truly extraordinary and beautiful floor that will create an elegant and everlasting impression on all.
Our French Oak flooring range is an exquisite timber that enhances the elegance of heritage character
homes but also flows pleasingly with modern lines of today’s architecturally designed homes.
Our flooring is a process.
From importing the slabs of timber from France we precisely mill the timber to suit each individual order. Floorboards are 19mm thick and are generally 130mm or 200mm wide. We can also supply widths up to 350mm. Lengths range up to 3.5 metres. We can also supply French Oak parquetry cut to suit each individual request. Chevron parquetry is very popular and large sizes are not a problem.
The timber is kiln dried to a moisture content of between 10% to 12%. All floorboards are end matched to ensure
a stable bond and floors are fully glued to ensure an exceptionally laid floor.
Our focus is to ensure that the timbers we source are harvested from sustainable resources. We are proud
that our suppliers' principle is to promote the fastest practical process towards environmentally and socially
sound forestry management.
Good forest management principles were introduced as early as 1827 in France, with the adoption of Forestry Management and Administration code.
Sustainable management indicators provide a snap shot of the expansion of France's forest. The volume standing
timber is currently increasing each year 81,000,000 cubic metres. Given a harvest of 47,000,000 cubic metres
per year, the rate of felling is equal to 58% of the annual biological level. Such carefully planned felling preserves
the natural capital reserves of France's forest and timber resources.
We do not exclusively deal with French Oak timber and are able to offer all other services in regards to solid
timber flooring. Our floor sanders and layers are expert in their trade and take personal pride in their work.
We offer a wide range of timber coatings including polyurethane (gloss and satin), oil , acrylic and wax.
We can stain your floors to suit your individual taste and are also able to bleach the timber with stunning results. Scandinavian trends of Lye and soap finishes are also available.
